Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” organized a virtual workshop under the title "Online Registration – B2B" for entrepreneurs in the commercial sector and “Eitimad” license owners. This workshop aimed at supporting commercial partners, consolidate relations between them, as well as facilitate the buying and selling process and other procedures that are in the interest of the concerned parties. Also, it aimed at focusing on some successful examples of investments in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Number of entrepreneurs and investors from different sectors and owners of “Eitimad” licenses participated in the workshop. The organization of the workshop reflects the Department's desire to activate aspects of partnership and cooperation with these partners in order to strengthen relations and create opportunities for them.

Commenting on that, HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, stated that organizing such meetings comes within its concerns to support its partners to provide the best facilities and incentives for entrepreneurs. Likely, these workshops seek to highlight SEDD’s role in supporting the entrepreneurship sector, which is a priority within many of its strategic initiatives aimed at contributing to the development of services provided to clients and strategic partners.

Furthermore, HE pointed out that the Department will overcome all the obstacles that entrepreneurs face in order to provide an incubating and stimulating investment environment for them that enables them to innovate and excel. He added that organizing such meetings came after studying ways to develop and support entrepreneurs to promote their companies, projects, research and products, and to contribute to establishing commercial partnerships and continuous communication among them in the future. In addition, HE explained that the business environment in Sharjah is one of the best in the region, due to the simplified procedures adopted by SEDD and all other government agencies.

From his side, Ahmed bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department, said that SEDD pays great attention to attain the highest levels of competitiveness in the emirate, by regulating the effective exchange between businesses. He illustrated that business matchmaking, which brings together entrepreneurs from different business sectors in this workshop, saves a lot of effort and time for business partners. Also, it facilitates the mechanism of building a professional communication network through one program, and raises the income of business owners.

Moreover, the workshop allows attendees to promote their companies, projects, research, and products to the target audience and contribute to establishing business partnerships and communications necessary for the future. Likewise, it helps to create new investment opportunities among the participating parties. This is done in order to enable citizens who own projects and SMEs from achieving success in national entrepreneurship in the country in all economic sectors.
