“SEDD receives “Shams”

 HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD”, received HE Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams), and his accompanying delegation that was received by HE SEDD Chairman and number of directors and advisors at SEDD headquarter. This meeting aimed at discussing ways of cooperation and enhancing coordination between the two parties for the benefit of the investor.

At the beginning of the meeting, HE SEDD Chairman welcomed the delegation and expressed his gratitude with such visit and its role in strengthening the various cooperation relations and accelerating development processes. HE added that working on developing Sharjah’s economy is one of the Department's main tasks, to reach its vision of leading the comprehensive development process to attain a diversified, competitive and innovative knowledge-based economy according to its strategic plan in designing and leading the comprehensive economic development in the emirate.

The two sides also discussed many common issues that are in the public interest, and ideas were exchanged on some of the procedures followed. Likely, SEDD explained the structure and work strategy followed in common areas, in addition to the latest technologies and solutions it uses. Likewise, the two parties discussed mechanisms and ways to enhance cooperation to serve all sectors in Sharjah.

Commenting on that, HE SEDD Chairman stressed that such visits and meetings are an important to enhance cooperation and exchange visions between various government agencies in the emirate. It should be noted that the two parties discussed the attractive investment climate in the country in general and in Sharjah in particular, and the incentives and benefits provided.

On the other hand, the delegation expressed the gratitude and thank to SEDD for their hospitality. Also, they affirmed their keenness to enhance cooperation and coordination with SEDD in a way that contributes to the development of mutual work system to find outputs that serve all parties to improve the levels of service provided to investors. This contributes to the country's orientation towards establishing a strong and solid economy characterized by knowledge and sustainability, supports attracting foreign investments in all sectors, and enhances the country's competitiveness at the global level.

Later on, the two parties stressed the importance of enhancing future cooperation in line with the government service standards that the local and federal government aspire to. Also, they pointed to the importance of holding such meetings in the future due to their role in accelerating development processes and enhancing the investment movement in Sharjah.
