Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” received a delegation from Sharjah City Municipality “SCM”, in order to discuss ways of cooperation and best practices in the mechanism of permitting s and coordination between the two parties. This was done in order to achieve effective integration and coordination, and to discuss ways of cooperation, exchange of experiences and strengthening work between the two parties. It should be noted that the two parties are keen to strengthen work with all government agencies to serve the public interest of the emirate.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed common matters, mechanisms, and ways to enhance this cooperation to contribute to achieving the leadership of Sharjah and its prosperity in all fields, and the need to achieve integration between all government agencies to improve services and achieve the aspirations of customers. Also, they discussed adopting the latest developments and establishing a community communication system and infrastructure, according to the highest levels of efficiency, which contributes to building a sustainable business environment in the emirate.

In addition, the most important procedures followed to implement the regulations for signboards were presented, according to the permitted signboard models, specifications, and dimensions. Also, SEDD emphasized that these guidelines ensure harmony in the form of commercial signs for buildings, contribute to improving the general appearance of the buildings and give a positive impression about the building and the existing companies and shops. Likely, the two parties discussed the development of some procedures and coordination between the two sides in reducing distortions of the public view.

Finally, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation between them in line with the government service standards that the government aspires to. Moreover, they praised the importance of holding such meetings in the future because of their role in accelerating the development of processes, procedures and tools in order to reach leadership in the quality of service provided to customer, leading to comprehensive development in Sharjah.
