Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” announced its participation in the 24th edition of the National Career Exhibition. It was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and organized by the Expo Center Sharjah with the support of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. More than 100 educational and academic institutions, major local and international universities and institutes, and a number of government and private agencies attended the exhibition. These entities offer many opportunities for employment and professional development during the exhibition.

SEDD participation confirms its commitment to the vision, strategic objectives set by the rational Sharjah government aimed at developing human capabilities, qualifying, and absorbing trained national cadres and energies, which will ultimately lead to raising the level of performance, achieving quality and consolidating a culture of excellence.

SEDD pays great attention to participate in this exhibition, because it provides great opportunities for communication and meeting between the participating parties and job seekers. Also, such exhibition supports the government's efforts to attract young national talent and increase Emiratisation rates in the public and private sectors.

Commenting on that, HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, said that the Department is constantly seeking to encourage qualified young national cadres to join promising fields of work. It aims to attract expertise that contributes to the implementation and success of the various plans, initiatives and projects it undertakes, especially in the field of economy and various related activities.

Al Suwaidi pointed out that SEDD seeks to effectively contribute to raising its Emiratisation rates, stressing that the Emiratisation policy followed by the Department is one of the most successful methods that have contributed to raising Emiratisation rates in all sectors of the Department. He pointed out that SEDD achieved high Emiratisation rates over the past years for all job levels. Such thing goes in line with the wise directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council.

On the other hand, Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of Support Services Department at SEDD, illustrated that SEDD confirmed that the Department provides promising opportunities for citizens of various disciplines. This makes them build their future careers in the economic sectors that witness great momentum and continuous growth, and continues to develop and train national cadres to make them more distinguished and more aware about the requirements of the labor market in all its fields.

Al Mahmoud added that these exhibitions are considered a broad umbrella to meet job seekers and various government entities as well as private sectors to closely view the needs of UAE market for jobs, as well as learn about the requirements of each career.
