Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” held a meeting with a delegation from the University of Sharjah “UOS”. This meeting aimed at strengthening cooperating and seeking cooperation between all local and federal government entities in the country to attain the provision of best services.  The meeting discussed mechanisms and ways to enhance cooperation in order to provide all capabilities to contribute to achieving sustainable development in a way that serves all sectors in Sharjah and implements the directives of the wise leadership in the emirate.

The two sides also discussed many common issues that are in the public interest, and ideas were exchanged about some of the procedures followed in both sides and ways of cooperation in building strategic partnerships for the benefit of partners and customers. The delegation also got familiar with the work structure and strategy followed in the common areas, in addition to the latest technologies and solutions used in the Department. Likely, the two parties discussed mechanisms and ways to enhance cooperation, which contributes to building a sustainable business environment in the emirate.

Commenting on this, Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of Support Services Department at SEDD, said that the Department provides promising opportunities for citizens of various fields, whereas it received six trainees during 2022. This will help them to build their future career in the economic sectors that witness great momentum and continuous growth. Likely, he explained the continuity of training programs for university students organized by the Department with the aim of enhancing their skills and knowledge and developing their competencies and capabilities. Such thing will contribute at enhancing their future contribution to various economic and service activities in the public and private sectors in the country, to be able to engage in work in line with the rapid development taking place in all sectors.

On the other hand, Abdelaziz Al Midfa, Deputy Director of Government Communication Department, illustrated that it is important to hold such meetings that contribute at promoting cooperation and coordination to contribute to the sustainable development of the emirate. Also, he praised SEDD’s cooperation in various fields in line with local and federal government service standards, stressing the cruciality of holding such meetings because of their role in accelerating development processes and enhancing mutual work to serve the emirate.
