Warehouse Permit Issuance

Issuance of warehouse permit for a license that is carried inside or outside the emirate.

1. Inspection of warehouse site.

2. Obtain approvals of concerned parties.

3. Paying fees/ Receiving Certificate.  

Investor should submit a request to evaluate the warehouse located within the Emirate of Sharjah. The warehouse may be subordinate to a license inside or outside the Emirate of Sharjah.

  1. The concerned person should fill in license form that is released by SEDD.
  2. Request can be submitted through SEDD main headquarter or electronically through the website.
  3. Concerned employee would check all the data provided and then approve the site.
  4. After that, an inspection appointment is scheduled and a sub-number is issued for the transaction.

 

  • License Form.
  • Copy of the main company’s license.
  • Letter from the main company to issue a warehouse permit in Sharjah in case if the company is located outside the emirate.
  • Partners’ passport and ID (for license outside Sharjah).
  • Approvals from official authorities if necessary depending on business nature.
  • Certified copy of lease contract and title deed.

Investor must obtain the approvals of the official authorities according to the commercial activity.

  1. Certain commercial activities require special approvals for licensing by government agencies (federal or local).
  2. For example, if a hospital is to be established, it is not sufficient to obtain the approval from SEDD only but an approval from Sharjah Health Authority is a must.
  3. If the activities require approvals from other entities, the customer must obtain such approvals, meet their requirements and obtain the needed documents. Also, the customer can refer to the list of economic activities and regulators, which are periodically updated by SEDD.
  4. The customer can also identify the list of economic activities that fall under the jurisdiction of SEDD and do not require any approvals from other government entities.

  • After the completion of the inspection procedures, the investor should head to Licensing Section to complete transactions. Concerned employee should then review approve the license data or make amendments thereto if required in accordance with the legal rules.
  • Issuance of payment voucher and collecting fees should be conducted.
  • After the completion of payment procedures, certificate is issued.

After completing the inspection procedures, the investor will go to the licensing department to complete his transaction. The concerned employee will review the license data and approve it or make amendments to it if necessary in accordance with the legal principles. The audit is performed, the payment permission is issued, and fees are collected. After completing the payment procedures, the warehouse permit certificate will be issued.
