Sharjah Economic University and the University of Sharjah launch the Knowledge Economy Initiative

The Department of Economic Development in Sharjah announced the launch of the research cooperation program with the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Sharjah under the name of "Economic Knowledge Projects Initiative for Research and Studies of Economic Development" in the framework of the initiatives and directions of the Department to cooperate with various educational institutions in the Emirate to support students systematically. In this context, the Department received a number of students from the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Sharjah to introduce the theoretical framework in economic studies to the practical reality of the main topics and requirements of the Sharjah economy and to develop students' abilities to carry out applied scientific research in order to support national research capabilities As part of the Department's keenness to activate its role in the exercise of its social responsibility to develop the capabilities and skills of national cadres and enable them to perform their future mission in building the country. Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Suwaidi, Head of the Department of Economic Development in Sharjah, said: "Through its research cooperation program with the College of Business Administration at the University of Sharjah, the Department seeks to train young cadres and enable them to contribute their research and creativity to the sustainable development process in the emirate. Which helps them to engage in practical life, within the strategy of the Department to prepare national cadres trained and qualified to serve the country and the citizen through the provision of training and rehabilitation opportunities for them and prepare them for what they will face in the future. He explained that the Department has moved over the past years from working to increase licenses and monitor the markets to lead the sustainable development and build the knowledge economy in the emirate, and thus complement this cooperation, what it started years ago with the Higher Colleges of Technology in Sharjah and the American University of Sharjah, which the initiatives honored by the Executive Council and follow them Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, who was appointed to include these initiatives in the work of the Department, noting that we continue to support our children Of harnessing the full potential of the circuit for them. For his part, Professor Abu Bakr Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Sharjah, said that the university cooperates for the first time with the department in an initiative that is typical in terms of time, content and input of the department and the university. It is considered a pilot project considering the accuracy of the preparation and organization, Which is dedicated to the success of the College in the academic accreditation, noting the great happiness shown by students in working with the Department, especially after their recent visit to the headquarters of the Department and see the potential Which is provided by the Government of Sharjah to manage the economic wheel in the emirate. The delegation was visited by a delegation of students led by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jamal Abu Al-Magd, a professor of business administration with more than 18 students selected for economic research under the supervision of the College and the Economic Advisor Dr. Amr Saleh, who explained that the research topics were carefully selected to suit With the vision and strategy of the Department and the needs of the emirate and the competitive advantages of the emirate of Sharjah, whether current or we need to invest in them, and in parallel and in line with the guidance and vision of economic and social leadership in the construction of a distinct economy D on the accumulation of knowledge and scientific construction and not only on the accumulation of wealth and increase the number of companies.
