SEDD displays E-services and New Services in GITEX 2017
Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) participates in GITEX Week in Sharjah Government platform, which is designed in a distinguished way presenting the idea of Mleiha archaeological site. Such design reflects the ancient culture of Sharjah and the historical and natural elements that made it one of the most important places in the region. SEDD participation included the latest technological achievements, the qualitative shift in its services and its digital initiative that enable customers to complete their transactions through multiple channels. Such a thing saves the time and effort of investors, as well as it enables them to pursue their work anywhere and anytime without the need to review the Department. Commenting on such occasion, HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, stated that such participation comes within SEDD’s interest to take part in the international event. Also, it was done to ensure the efforts placed by the Emirate to highlight its digital services to its public and to identify the best innovations and practices in the IT sector. In addition, the Department participated to present the smart services from all entities and international companies in the exhibition and to see the leading experiences in this field for the various government agencies involved in order to enhance the experience of customers in the Emirate of Sharjah. From his side, Ali Al Naqbi, Deputy Director of IT Department, said that SEDD’s participation within the Sharjah Government's platform at GITEX this year aims primarily at exploring and monitoring modern ideas and learning about new and useful practices. Also, it aims at presenting the intellectual and knowledge products related to the digital services provided by the Department to investors and customers. Al Naqbi added that the participation also included the presentation of SEDD portals and apps, intelligent inspection system, smart reporting system, My SEDD system and the new excellence system too. He pointed out that the Department will also launch (Eitimad) website that aims to provide a digital platform between the owners of home licenses and customers. He stated that this website will organizing the buying and selling process through a digital portal and application. It should be noted that the Department and Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) will sign a MoU. This MoU aims to develop the IP connection that connects all circuit headquarters to each other and equip them with the needed speed which help the Department to achieve high levels of availability and reliability of the network. It is worth mentioning that number of specialists will be present at the Department's booth to provide a full explanation of SEDD services which aim to improve the quality of services provided to the public. Such a thing represents the top strategic priority of the Department. In addition, the interaction of the beneficiaries with these services will save time in completing their transactions, too.
