SEDD organizes “My First Enterprise” Workshop

Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” organized a virtual workshop under the title “My First Enterprise” with the participation of a number of entrepreneurs wishing to establish their projects. The workshop aimed to discover the entrepreneurial passion and qualify entrepreneurs to invest the idea, skill, talent and experience and turn it into a successful projects and enterprises. This workshop, which was presented by the trainer and business consultant Hamed Al Ali, focused on introducing the participants to the main and important steps to start launching an entrepreneurial project. He also informed them about the right steps and foundations to join the world of entrepreneurship through learning and acquiring the qualities that any entrepreneur needs as well as the information and data he/ she requires. 

Furthermore, the workshop included many topics, including finding the right idea and discovering opportunities in the market, typical steps to run a business, initial and financial planning to study the feasibility of the project, in addition to discussing the accelerators of implementation, establishment and successful startup of the project.

Commenting on that, HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, stressed on the Department’s concerns to continuously provide different courses and workshops to business owners. He added that such thing would contribute to consolidation of the strategic vision of the emirate, which aims to advance the wheel of innovation and achieve a positive impact.\

Moreover, HE emphasized on the importance of entrepreneurship and its contribution to the economic sector and the provision of job opportunities in the emirate. He explained that entrepreneurship requires many qualities, including the audacity to make decisions, the desire and determination to succeed and self-reliance.

From his side, Ahmed bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department, stated that organizing the workshop comes within SEDD’s intention to communicate with all parties and to implement a series of advanced training workshops that contribute to enhancing the vital role of entrepreneurs and giving them the motivation to move forward in establishing their own projects.

Also, he added that SEDD seeks to improve entrepreneurs skills and educate them on how to manage their businesses through such workshops. Likely, these workshops highlights the factors that affect the success of their projects, in addition to the factors that contribute to the development of their projects. All of this is done in order to strengthen the sustainable entrepreneurship system in Sharjah, to provide opportunities for innovation, as well as to improve abilities of entrepreneurs.
