Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” celebrated UAE 50th National Day as part of the many programs and events it launched this year in collaboration with many celebrations that were organized in all the cities and emirates in the country.

HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, attended the event with number of managers and employees. The ceremony also included various competitions, at which the employees contributed showing their feelings joy and happiness at such occasion that represents the national values and heritage of the Emirates.

Coinciding with this occasion, HE SEDD Chairman, sent his warmest   congratulations to HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, as well as HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Also, he sent his congratulations to HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, other emirates Rulers, citizens and residents, and to all those who participated in the country’s celebrations of the 50th National Day.

HE said that the celebration of the National Day is important because UAE celebrates its golden jubilee, which symbolizes fifty years of achievements and successes, during which UAE topped many global indicators. It also inaugurates fifty new years of societal, human and economic development to contribute to strengthening UAE’s global position in various fields.

Likely, HE illustrated that UAE celebration is a commemoration of a leading experience, not only for unity, but also for achievement in various fields. He added that what has been achieved is difficult to be summed up in brief. Also, he pointed out that when pointing out some of the bright aspects of the process, we will find the tremendous steps made and taken by the leadership since the launch of the union under the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the other rulers.
