SEDD concludes “Law Enforcement” Program

Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” in cooperation with Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources organized “Law Enforcement” training program for 30 trainees of Commercial Officers from SEDD. This program aimed at enhancing their capabilities and providing them with the knowledge necessary to perform their tasks, in accordance with specific legal controls that contributes to the development of activities and businesses. Also, it highlighted Commercial Officers’ task to ensure the safety of all economic practices in the economic establishments operating in the Emirate.

The virtual training program also reviewed the procedures followed to implement the correct standards in controlling and inspecting the markets, as well as the different methods used by merchants to deceive consumers. The program was organized to grant SEDD Commercial Officers with law enforcement capacity whereas it focused on providing them with integrated skills. Such thing would enable them to apply legislative innovations aimed at achieving development sustainability in the management of public utilities, through the correct application of the concepts of administrative control, and the principles and provisions of the law.

Commenting on that, Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of Support Services Department at SEDD, said that SEDD adopts integrated annual training programs to improve employees skills and abilities. He added that holding such courses aims to reinforce cadres in Commercial and Control Department on professional and legal bases, and to activate their role as well as raise the technical and professional level.

Al Mahmoud carried on that the program is characterized by integrating practical and theoretical training. This contributes to developing the capabilities of Commercial Officers, and providing them with basic skills to ensure the efficient performance of their work. Also, Al Mahmoud praised the efforts placed by Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources in preparing and implementing distinguished training programs. Such thing helped to attain a qualitative leap in developing work mechanism and improving performance, which in turn is reflected in the quality of services provided.
