SEDD receives SCI

HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD”, received a delegation from Sharjah Charity Internarial (SCI) headed by Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of SCI, Abdullah bin Hindi, Head of Corporate Services Sector, and Mohamed Hussein, Secretary of the Executive Office. The meeting was held to discuss cooperation and enhance coordination between the two parties as well as to look through the matters related to charitable work. HE SEDD Chairman and number of managers and employees from the Department received this delegation.

At the beginning of the meeting, HE SEDD Chairman, welcomed the delegation, expressing his happiness with this visit and its role in strengthening the various relations of cooperation. He also praised the efforts made and the active and continuous charitable activity by those in charge of the association. He stressed on the importance of such visits by local institutions to enhance cooperation between them and various entities, especially with SCI, which is one of the leading associations in the field of charitable and humanitarian work in the country.

The two sides also discussed many common issues that are in the public interest, and ideas were exchanged on ways of cooperation between the two sides in the field of promoting a culture of community work with marketing centers and economic establishments. The two sides also discussed mechanisms and ways to enhance cooperation to serve all sectors in Sharjah.

Also, HE stressed that such visits and meetings are an important station to enhance cooperation and exchange visions between various government agencies and institutions operating in the emirate. Likely, ways to enhance strategic partnership and cooperation in the charitable and humanitarian fields were discussed during the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides confirmed the importance of strengthening the principle of partnership to serve the charitable work process in the country. Also, they assured adopting initiatives that enhance the social responsibility aspect of all government and private agencies to improve strategic partnership, which will have a direct impact on the efforts of both sides in the humanitarian field.
