Employee Engagement and Workplace Improvement Policy
The Top Management at Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” is committed to implementing a comprehensive employee engagement system to ensure the adaptation of its vision in enhancing institutional capabilities. This system serves as a general framework that reflects the strategic orientations and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and developing a stimulating work environment. This aims at raising levels of efficiency, productivity, and job satisfaction, in addition to improving employee engagement. Such system can be achieved through the application of the following principles:
- Implementing best practices in human resources management and enhancing employee engagement in accordance with ISO 23326:2022, while emphasizing the provision of a work environment that supports the professional and personal growth of employees.
- Setting clear goals and targets to enhance employee engagement, implementing programs and initiatives that ensure meeting such goals on an ongoing basis, and regularly measuring and monitoring performance to ensure continuous improvement.
- Developing effective communication channels between management and employees, as well as encouraging productive discussion and active participation in decision making process.
- Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for employees, which contributes to enhancing their skills and knowledge and motivating them to achieve optimal performance.
- Adopting a fair and transparent incentive and recognition system that rewards outstanding performance and promotes sense of accomplishment and belonging among employees.
- Offering a positive and stimulating work environment that encourages innovation and collaboration and respects diversity and inclusion among employees.
- Conducting periodic studies to measure employee satisfaction and review their opinions about work environment, procedures, and policies. Later on, using such results to improve the work environment and enhance employee engagement.
- Ensuring the provision of a safe and healthy working environment for employees, and adhering to occupational health and safety standards.
