SEDD, Sharjah Energy Council discuss Mutual Cooperation
HE Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” and Member of the Executive Council, and HE Fahad Ahmed Al Khamiri, SEDD Director, received HE Hatem Diab Al Mousa, Secretary-General of the Energy Council, in the presence of number of officials from both sides. This meeting came as part of the ongoing efforts to regulate the business environment in the emirate and exchange expertise to achieve the two parties' goals of creating a safe investment environment and supporting business sustainability according to the highest standards.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed areas of cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership to contribute to the continued development of performance and the provision of services to customers and the private and government sectors.
Also, this meeting aimed at strengthening coordination and cooperation between the two parties, and supporting the efforts aimed at fostering opportunities for improvement and development in line with Sharjah's strategic vision to enhance the business environment and provide services at international standards and specifications. Such meeting highlights the enhancing efforts of the two sides to improve performance and provide the best services to customers, contributing to attracting investment and enhancing the emirate's economic competitiveness.
Commenting on this meeting, HE SEDD Chairman stressed on the importance of holding such meetings, which enhance cooperation and coordination to contribute to achieving sustainable economic development in the emirate. Likely, HE stated that the Department is keen to enhance its constructive cooperation with government and private entities. In addition, Al Mahmoud emphasized on the level of cooperation between SEDD and the Energy Council, which keeps pace with the economic development witnessed by the emirate and serves the comprehensive and sustainable development agenda. Furthermore, HE pointed out that this cooperation has yielded remarkable results, reflecting the integration of the mutual efforts.
Moreover, HE Al Mahmoud said that SEDD is adopting development and acceleration n improving the provided services and systems, thus enhancing the level of service provided to investors. This goes in in line with the emirate's drive to build a strong economy characterized by knowledge and sustainability, to improve competitiveness.
At the end of the meeting, both parties affirmed their commitment to continuing cooperation in various fields, in line with local government service standards. They emphasized the importance of holding such meetings, given their role in accelerating development and enhancing investment activity in the emirate.
