SEDD successfully Obtains Collaborative Business Relationship Management System ISO

Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) successfully obtained the standard specification Collaborative Business Relationship Management System (ISO 44001:2017). This achievement confirms its concerns to develop the quality of its institutional services and to update performance standards by applying global best practices to enhance partnership relationships with federal and local government entities, and various business sectors at the local and global levels.

This success comes after passing the auditing process, verifying SEDD’s commitment to implement and adopt the approved procedures and processes, to review document and their compliance with the requirements of the Collaborative Business Relationship Management System, according to the standards, and the Department's full fulfillment of the administrative system requirements that conform to the aforementioned specification. This reflects SEDD’s commitment to standards and its keenness to strengthen its relationships with all partners, entities, and institutions to improve work and achieve comprehensive development in all aspects and fields of work and life. Also, this indicates that the efforts have been intensified to align and keep pace with the requirements of international standards with institutional work systems to raise the level of performance and improve the systems applied, as the standard aims to build an administrative system that ensures the existence of effective and successful cooperative relationships with partners in a way that achieves mutual benefit and added value for the concerned parties.

Commenting on this, HE Hamad Ali Abdulla Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman and Member of the Executive Council, affirmed that the Department’s attainment of international accreditation for ISO standards in the collaborative business relationship management system is a confirmation for the Department’s commitment to develop various economic operations. Likely, such attainment comes as a continuation of the Department's journey of institutional excellence and accomplishments in this field, as it strives to implement the best global administrative practices. Also, SEDD seeks to build strong partnerships and cooperative relationships in all fields and to open up prospects for mutual coordination with everyone, through the adoption of an internationally approved outlines that serves SEDD’s goals and contributes to customer satisfaction.

Additionally, HE expressed his gratitude to the team that worked hand in hand to reach the desired goal and was able to pass the evaluation stages with full merit, which added to SEDD’s achievements.

On the other hand, Abdelaziz Omar Al Midfa, Director of Government Communication Department at SEDD, affirmed: “We are proud of the continuous efforts made by the Department’s teams in developing collaborative business relationship management system according to the highest international standards, which contributed greatly to obtaining the ISO certificate. This achievement is the result of close cooperation and continuous keenness to promote a culture of sustainable institutional partnerships, and to strengthen its participatory relationships with various entities, which benefits individuals and society in general.”

From his side, Dr. Ahmed Al Ali, Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Management at SEDD, confirmed that passing the official audit for collaborative business relationship management system certification contributes to identifying the Department's organizational needs for performance measurement. It also strengthens various collaborative relationships, accelerates the development of the mutual work system, and generates outputs that benefit all stakeholders, ultimately improving the level of service provided to investors. Al Ali added that such thing aligns with Sharjah’s vision to create a strong and robust knowledge-based economy that fosters sustainability and enhances the country's global competitiveness.
