SEDD honors UOS Public Policy Students
HE Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” and Member of Sharjah Executive Council, honored a number of students of the College of Public Policy at the University of Sharjah “UOS”, in the presence of HE Fahad Al Khumairi, Director of SEDD, and a number of officials of the Department. This honor came on the occasion of the conclusion of the training program, which lasted for two months at the Department's headquarter, which included distinguished research projects that the university students worked on in cooperation with the Economic Advisor at the Department.
The organization of this program came as part of the efforts between SEDD and UOS, with the aim of linking academic knowledge with practical applications in the economic field, in a way that contributes to supporting the sustainable development process in Sharjah, and supporting applied scientific research that contributes to developing the business environment and raising the competitiveness of the local economy, in line with the development trends of the Emirate.
The program, which was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Amr Saleh, Economic Advisor at SEDD, resulted in the students presenting a number of innovative development projects, which reflected the level of awareness and knowledge they acquired during the training period, as these projects varied to include initiatives that contribute to the development of the business environment and enhance the efficiency of services, in addition to offering practical solutions to various development challenges.
It should be noted that SEDD stressed that this type of training program represents an important platform to discover young capabilities and refine their skills, praising the efforts and commitment of students, and appreciating the fruitful cooperation with UOS in supporting the process of applied education and enabling students to engage in the labor market efficiently.
Also, the Department pointed out that honoring the participating students with their distinguished projects came in appreciation of their efforts and crowning their tireless efforts in developing their academic aspects, which would hone their skills to enter the economic market in the future.
