He added that such campaigns have contributed to raising awareness among business owners of the importance of adhering to the legislation and have contributed to reducing violations and illegal practices.
Al Suwaidi added: "We affirm our continued implementation of periodic inspection campaigns across various areas of the emirate, which goes in line with the Department's objectives of creating a safe investment environment, providing consumer protection, and supporting business sustainability according to the highest standards."
Furthermore, SEDD called on business owners to fully comply with applicable laws and regulations and cooperate with inspection teams, stressing that any violations detected will be addressed in accordance with approved legal procedures.
Additionally, SEDD affirmed its continued efforts to maintain the requirements and conditions of signboards in Sharjah, especially with regard to the integrity of the Arabic language, through “Together We Protect Our Language” service. This service aims to encourage citizens and residents to play their role in protecting the Arabic language by contributing to reporting linguistic errors on commercial signboards. In addition, the Department is constantly keen to organize number of awareness workshops and seminars for its employees with the aim of ensuring the use of correct Arabic in all economic practices in the emirate. Likely, the Department has recently intensified its efforts in this regard with the aim of educating investors about the importance of adhering to the rules of the Arabic language in all economic practices.
Moreover, SEDD calls all consumers to help in monitoring illegal commercial practices and helping to control any cases of commercial manipulation or fraud by reporting such cases.
