SEDD receives KSQFAE Delegation
HE Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) and Member of the Executive Council, received a delegation from Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation headed by HE Mariam Al Hammadi, Director General of NAMA Women Advancement (NAMA), and Board Member of (KSQFAE), Ms. Logan Murad, Director General of Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation (KSQFAE), and their accompanying delegation, in the presence of a number of officials from SEDD. Such meeting aimed at discussing ways of cooperation and enhancing coordination between the two parties in order to serve humanitarian issues around the world.
At the beginning of the meeting, HE SEDD Chairman welcomed the delegation, expressing his gratitude with this visit and its role in strengthening various cooperation relations. HE also praised the efforts made and the active and continuous humanitarian activity by those in charge of the Foundation.
The two sides discussed several common issues of public interest and exchanged ideas on ways to cooperate in promoting a culture of humanitarian work with economic establishments. They also discussed mechanisms and ways to enhance cooperation to serve various sectors in Sharjah.
For his part, HE SEDD Chairman praised the humanitarian role played by Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation (KSQFAE) in supporting charitable, social and humanitarian causes, under the generous patronage of HH Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Foundation.
HE added that this cooperation and coordination between the various government agencies and institutions operating in the emirate is an important step towards strengthening cooperation and exchanging visions, as this meeting is an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance strategic partnership and cooperation in the charitable and humanitarian fields.
On the other hand, Abdelaziz Omar Al Midfa, Director of Government Communication Department at SEDD, said that the Economic Department is concerned about adopting the principle of community partnership and advancing all aspects of comprehensive and sustainable development in the emirate, in an effort to participate in building a leading model in the field of social responsibility. He emphasized on the Department’s keenness to participate in humanitarian work in cooperation with the competent authorities in the emirate, considering it an important part of the social and humanitarian responsibilities.
Furthermore, (KSQFAE) delegation also expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and prompt response they received from the Department. They also emphasized their enthusiasm to enhance cooperation and coordination with SEDD in a way that contributes to developing the mutual work system to create outputs that serve humanitarian and community fields, and to advance the humanitarian work process, in addition to implementing a number of initiatives between the Foundation and the Department to reach the community.
At the end of the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening the principle of partnership in a way that serves the course of charitable and humanitarian work in the country, and adopting initiatives that enhance the aspect of social responsibility for all governmental and private entities, and pave the way for a new phase of strategic partnership, which will have a direct impact on the efforts of both sides in the humanitarian field.
