SEDD participates at “Make it in the Emirates" Forum in Abu Dhabi

Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” participates at “Make it in the Emirates" Forum that is held from 19th to 22nd May at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. This forum is held under the generous patronage of the wise leadership and organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), with the aim of promoting industrial growth and supporting economic diversification efforts in UAE.

This participation seeks to highlight the attractive investment environment offered by Sharjah, as well as the initiatives supporting national industries and emerging companies, within the emirate's strategy to enhance competitiveness and attract quality investments.

Sharjah platform at the forum witnessed a significant presence of investors, businessmen, and manufacturers. Therefore, SEDD presented the most prominent investment opportunities available in vital industrial sectors, along with the simplified procedures for registering and licensing economic activities, and the technical and financial support programs it provides to SMEs and large corporations alike.

Likely, SEDD delegation participated in a number of dialogue sessions and panel discussions focusing on the future of industry in the country and the role of special economic zones in supporting industrial transformation and building local supply chains.

Commenting on this participation, HE Hamad Ali Abdulla Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman, emphasized that the emirate's participation in this major event reaffirms its commitment to achieving UAE’s Industrial Vision 2030. He noted that Sharjah possesses a solid industrial infrastructure, a flexible judicial system, and outstanding logistical capabilities that make it a prime destination for investors in the industrial sector.

Additionally, HE clarified that SEDD’s participation in “Make it in the Emirates” Forum falls within the commitment to strengthen Sharjah's position as a leading economic and production hub in the country and the region. HE stated that this forum represents an important strategic platform for exchanging expertise, reviewing investment opportunities, and building partnerships that enhance the competitiveness of the national industrial sector.

On the other hand, Khalid Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Director of Industrial Affairs Department, pointed out that the participation at “Make it in the Emirates” Forum aims to highlight the promising industrial potential in Sharjah and promote the supportive environment we provide to investors through a package of economic facilities and incentives, in addition to the advanced infrastructure. He also emphasized that through this forum, SEDD look forward to opening new horizons for cooperation with various industrial entities and driving industrial localization, which will contribute to achieving the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy and driving sustainable economic growth in the country.
