To support business environment in Sharjah SEDD honors Premium Economic Establishments

Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” honored 104 economic establishments operating in Sharjah in recognition of its commitment to the regulations and bylaws governing the practice of economic activities in the emirate, and its keenness to apply the approved requirements and standards, reflecting its active role as a key partner and supporter of the economic development process in Sharjah.

This honoring falls within SEDD’s commitment to adopt best practices that contribute to developing the business environment and raising the level of competitiveness, which directly impacts market stability, enhances investor and customer confidence, and improves the quality of economic practices, thereby supporting the growth of the private sector and enhancing its contribution to the local economy.

Commenting on such event, HE Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman and Member of the Executive Council, said that honoring ceremony reflects the Department’s appreciation of the role played by these economic establishments to improve the economic development process in Sharjah. HE added that such establishments are key partners in achieving development goals, and a pivotal element in enhancing the competitiveness of the emirate’s economy and the sustainability of private sector growth.

Likewise, HE SEDD Chairman stated that the Department pays great attention to build an integrated relationship with the business community, based on partnership, cooperation and mutual trust, which contributes to providing a stimulating and attractive business environment for investment, and encourages establishments to develop, innovate and raise the efficiency of their work. Al Mahmoud also added that honoring committed establishments will contribute to motivate the owners to continue their commitment and improve their practices, in a way that serves the local economy and enhances its sustainability.

In addition, HE pointed out that the Department’s efforts in supporting the business community are integrated with Sharjah’s orientations towards building a diversified and sustainable economy, enhancing the competitiveness of the private sector, and providing a flexible economic environment that allows establishments greater opportunities for growth and expansion. Also, HE stressed that SEDD will carry on its role to provide initiatives that enhance communication and partnership with economic establishments.
