SEDD organizes Seminars at SIBF 44th Session
In order to achieve leadership in comprehensive development and spread economic awareness and culture of knowledge and innovation among different segments of society, Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” participated Sharjah International Book Fair “SIBF” at its 44th session.
The events witnessed broad participation from experts, entrepreneurs, university students and those interested in economic affairs. The seminars addressed various topics including the economic and security responsibility of members of society in electronic transactions, combating money laundering, business governance and sustainability to promote economic and knowledge growth, real estate mediation between knowledge and reality, and protecting consumer rights.
Commenting on this participation, Dr. Ahmed Al Ali, Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Department at SEDD, confirmed that the Department participates regularly in SIBF, as the fair represents a knowledge and cultural platform for communicating with a wide segment of the public. He added that the organization of these workshops stems from the Department's vision of building a knowledge-based economy. Such thing highlights SEDD’s commitment to be an active participant in the emirate's cultural, intellectual, and economic development through initiatives aimed at raising economic awareness and equipping individuals with the skills necessary to meet the demands of sustainable development. Also, SEDD believes that SIBF provides an ideal platform for fostering communication and exchanging expertise among government entities, academic institutions, and entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, Al Ali added that these initiatives contribute to strengthening the partnership between the government and academic sectors, and support innovation programs and the development of national competencies, which contributes to consolidating the position of Sharjah as a leading destination in economic and knowledge development.
The events concluded with great interaction from the participants, who praised the Department’s role in spreading economic awareness, stressing the importance of continuing these initiatives that combine culture, knowledge and development.
