“SEDD” and “Etisalat” sign MoU

Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” and Emirates Telecommunications Corporation “Etisalat” stressed the importance of developing and enhancing the mutual cooperation between the two sides and upgrading it in all fields. Such a thing is done in order to enable the two parties to manage and maintain the network and devices and enable them to increase productivity and focus on the main areas of work. Therefore, in order to carry out the cooperation between the two sides, SEDD and Etisalat signed a MoU. The MoU was signed by HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, and HE Muhammed Ali bin Bakheet Al Amimi, Acting General Manager of Etisalat “Northen Emirate”. The MoU states that the two parties will work on strengthening mutual work, providing SEDD with complete and fully managed Internet protocol solution, as well as providing it with network and hardware management and maintenance services too. All of these features will enable them to increase productivity and focus on key business areas without burdening the resources and cost of implementing the network monitoring system. Such a thing will contribute to the development of the service system in the Department, which goes in line with its strategy that adopts the idea of developing the infrastructure using the latest technologies to enhance the investment climate and drive economic growth in the Emirate. Commenting on the signing of this agreement, HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, praised the existing communication between the two sides and the role they play in serving the society in general and economic and investment activity in particular. He stressed that this agreement establishes a lasting and developed relationship that enhances partnership opportunities and improves business environment, too. Also, it allows for benefiting from the technical expertise and human as well as material resources available to both parties, thus contributing to the service of strategic plans and performance. In addition, HE gave a detailed explanation of the efforts related to the development in all departments and branches of the Department and the use of the latest electronic technology and electronic connectivity with all local and federal agencies. All of these comes in line with the wise directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and under the patronage and patronage of HH Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council. Furthermore, HE praised the role played by “Etisalat” in coordinating with various parties which contributes to enhancing the mutual work between the various entities in the country. He added that “Etisalat” has always been a partner of the Department in previous initiatives and will contribute to the promotion and development of its services. Also, he pointed out that the agreement will enhance the confidence that our markets which is a common goal of the two sides to provide a suitable environment for all customers and investors in the Emirate of Sharjah in particular and the UAE in general. On the other hand, HE Muhammed Ali bin Bakheet Al Amimi, Acting General Manager of Etisalat “Northen Emirate”, stated that they are very pleased to have an agreement with the Economic Department which strengthen the close cooperation relationship between the two parties. He added that Etisalat will work with the Department to provide it with the needed advanced Internet protocol solution with network and hardware management and maintenance services to enable them to increase productivity and focus on key business areas without burdening the resources and cost of implementing the network monitoring system. He carried on that such a thing will contribute to the development of the service system in the Department which go in line with its strategy that adopts development of infrastructure using the latest technologies to enhance the investment climate and drive economic growth in the Emirate.
