SEDD passes Periodic Review of ISO 9001:2015
Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” has successfully passed the periodic review of ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management System, after the completion of the auditing process to its approved work procedures.
This achievement was accomplished after the annual audit process that aimed at ensuring that the departments and sections adhere to the approved procedures and processes, in addition to reviewing documents and their compliance with the requirements of the quality management system according to international standards. Also, according to the report released by the evaluating company, the audit results showed SEDD’s full commitment to the requirements of the administrative system that complies with the specification, reflecting its concerns to apply the best international quality standards and enhance continuous improvement efforts in providing its services to customers.
Additionally, SEDD adopts an integrated approach to quality management, based on setting and periodically reviewing goals, disseminating quality concepts, promoting best administrative and professional practices, and improving services in line with its strategic directions.
Commenting on this achievement, Dr. Ahmed Al Ali, Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Department at SEDD, stated that the Department will carry on its role in supporting the growth of the emirate’s economy through effective planning and the provision of distinguished services that rely on qualified human resources and advanced technological systems, in accordance with the highest quality standards. Dr. Al Ali also added that passing the periodic review was a result of a comprehensive evaluation, and goes in line with the Department’s goals of achieving sustainable economic development and enhancing the quality of practices.
Furthermore, Dr. Al Ali said that the Department thrives to adopt the best standards to achieve the desired vision, which focuses on developing services, and adopting the latest practices in procedures, quality systems and institutional excellence, in a way that contributes to providing an effective work environment that keeps pace with global standards.
Moreover, Dr. Al Ali pointed out that SEDD’s continued receipt of this international certification reflects its commitment to developing work procedures and enhancing the efficiency of its institutional performance. It also confirms the strength of its administrative structure and its enthusiasm to implement integrated systems and performance indicators that support the achievement of its strategic goals towards a diversified and organized economy.
