SEDD enhances Leadership Capabilities in Jordan
A group of leaders form Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” participated in the Diplomatic Leadership Program held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, organized by Sharjah Training and Development Center, as part of a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities and building diplomatic communication skills among government cadres. The program included a field visit to the Ministry of Government Communication in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Vocational Training Corporation, one of the most prominent government agencies in Jordan in the field of skills development and qualification of competencies.
During the training program, the participants held a number of meetings, including a meeting with HE Dr. Zaid Al Nawaiseh, Secretary General of the Ministry of Government Communication in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and a meeting with HE Dr. Ahmed Al Gharabbeh, General Director of the Vocational Training Corporation in Jordan. During the visit, the most prominent development experiences and successes achieved by the institution in modernizing its training system and raising the level of services were reviewed, which presented a practical model in creative leadership. It should be noted that the visit aimed at learning about experiences areas in leading transformation, exchange experiences on best practices in diplomatic relations, and explore opportunities for international cooperation and partnerships.
Commenting on such visit, Abdelaziz Omar Al Midfa, Director of Government Communication Department at SEDD, confirmed that the Department’s participation in the Diplomatic Leadership Program comes within its commitment to improve national competencies and empower them with modern leadership tools. This participation reflects the Department’s orientation towards adopting the best global practices in developing leadership capabilities and enhancing the presence of its staff in specialized programs that support building effective institutional partnerships at the regional and international levels.
Al Midfa added that SEDD believes in the importance of investing in the leadership skills of its employees, ensuring their readiness to deal with changes, raise the level of institutional performance, and achieve desired strategic goals. This participation comes as part of a series of approved leadership stations in the Diplomatic Leadership Program, which aims to support the government training system and develop competencies in a way that enhances the competitiveness of government entities in Sharjah.
Moreover, SEDD’s participation came as part of an integrated training program designed for various government entities in Sharjah. It includes diverse knowledge and leadership stations aimed at refining leaders skills, providing them with modern leadership tools, and enhancing their presence in the professional diplomatic scene.
