Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), along with its subsidiary Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurship (RUWAD), is participating in the new edition of (Make it in the Emirates) Forum which took place from May 4 to 7 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). This forum is held under the patronage of the wise leadership and is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT), with the aim of promoting industrial growth and supporting economic diversification efforts in UAE.

This participation comes in line with Sharjah’s directions aimed at consolidating its position as an attractive center for industrial investments, supporting the growth of national projects, and enhancing the competitiveness of local industries by providing flexible and stimulating services to investors, within the Emirate’s strategy to enhance competitiveness and attract quality investments.

In addition, Sharjah stand witnessed a remarkable turnout of investors, businessmen and manufacturers on the first day of the forum, as the Department presented an exceptional opportunity, which is a special initiative that allows investors and entrepreneurs to benefit from the issuance of an instant industrial license for only 1000 dirhams, that includes all industrial activities allowed in the emirate, provided that this initiative is available exclusively throughout the duration of the exhibition. Also, SEDD and RUWAD participation aims to build direct communication channels with a select group of leading manufacturers and international companies present at the forum, to establish partnerships that contribute to transferring technology and knowledge to local factories, thereby ensuring the improvement of the quality of products bearing "Made in UAE" label and enhancing their presence in global markets.

Likely, SEDD affirmed that the emirate’s participation in this major event confirms its commitment to achieving UAE Industrial Vision 2030, noting that Sharjah possesses a robust industrial infrastructure, a flexible legislative system, and outstanding logistical capabilities that make it a prime destination for investors in the industrial sector. Also, SEDD participation confirms its firm commitment to supporting the sustainable industrial development journey in UAE, and enhancing Sharjah’s position as a leading economic and productive center.

It should be noted that (Make it in the Emirates) forum represents an important strategic platform for exchanging experiences, reviewing investment opportunities, and building partnerships that enhance the competitiveness of the national industrial sector. Additionally, this forum is considered a leading platform that brings together decision-makers, investors, government entities, and private sector representatives to discuss challenges and growth opportunities, and to propose innovative solutions for developing the industrial sector and enhancing UAE’s position as a global destination for smart manufacturing and investment.
