An amendment is a waiver, addition of a partner, change of activity, or modification of the trade name. This occurs after the initial amendment of the trade name has been completed in the Trade Names Section.
Prerequisites: When requesting a final amendment to an existing license, the investor must first amend the trade name, complete the technical evaluation (only when adding activities), and finalize the legal contracts (as required).
Registration and Login: Investor must register on the SEDD’s website via UAE Pass.
Selecting “Final Amendment” Service: Investor must attach the required documents as well as approvals form external parties.
Reviewing and Submitting Application: Investor must review the data and ensures its accuracy before submitting the application.
Notifications and Approvals: Investor will receive an SMS confirming receipt of the application. Messages are also sent to other investors to complete the approval process via UAE Pass.
Payment and License Amendment: A payment voucher will be issued, and trade name certificate will be sent automatically after successful payment of the required fees.

•Certified copy of lease contract and title deed (if applicable).
Licensing Section Fees
• Amending commercial register: AED 500/ AED 1,000/ AED 1,500/ AED 2,000 (depending on legal form)
• Printing: AED 300
• Permit fees for placing trade name signboard: AED 200 (when changing trade name).

Adding Activity Fees
• Activity addition fee of AED 500 per activity, excluding contracting activities.
• Activity addition fee of 70% for contracting activities, in addition to the basic tax rate of either 8% or 13%.

• Adding Partner/Service Agented 1,000 (per partner for commercial, professional, and industrial licenses).
• Removing Partner/Service Agent: AED 1,000 (per partner for commercial, professional, and industrial licenses).
