Entitled "Maintaining and Repairing Vehicles using AI" SEDD Organizes “Future Economy" Forum
Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) organized “Future Economy Forum” at Sharjah Classic Cars Museum, which was organized in cooperation with UAE's National Artificial Intelligence Program, Sharjah City Municipality, Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurship (RUWAD), and a number of private entities, under the title "Maintaining and Repairing Vehicles using AI". The meeting highlighted the latest innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, which contribute to raising the efficiency of services and improving the quality of work in this vital sector, as part of its efforts to stimulate entrepreneurship in the emirate and support and empower SMEs, in addition to creating new investment opportunities for the next generation by introducing them to the most important target sectors that the emirate seeks to grow and develop.
The Forum witnessed a wide presence of representatives from government agencies, private sector, young entrepreneurs, and students of universities and technical institutes. Therefore, the Forum discussed ways to integrate smart technologies in economic and professional activities, and the role of AI in developing vehicle maintenance workshops and creating new opportunities in the entrepreneurship sector.
Additionally, the Forum included presentations by a number of participating entities, as well as a successful story of a young Emirati entrepreneur in the field of smart car workshops. Also, interactive platforms for SEDD, Sharjah Classic Cars Museum and Emirates Development Bank, in addition to exhibition stands for youth entrepreneurial projects in the fields of technology and digital maintenance.
Commenting on this event, Ahmed Saif bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department at SEDD, explained that the forum represents an interactive platform that brought together experts, investors and supporting entities to discuss opportunities for smart transformation in the vehicle maintenance sector, and to review the most prominent services and solutions provided by government and private entities to support start-ups.
Likely, He pointed out that the organization of the Forum comes within the Department's directions to promote the transformation towards a smart economy and enable youth to adopt future technologies. Such thing goes in line with the vision of the wise leadership in building a knowledge-based economy and innovation, creating emerging business opportunities by linking youth to smart services in vehicle maintenance, developing the smart car workshop system by involving the private sector in providing solutions. Also, it helps in supporting the applied skills of technology and university students through their participation in workshops, highlighting inspiring success stories in the sector, connecting youth and investors with the opportunities available in the field of smart maintenance, and showcasing inspiring Emirati success stories that confirm the ability of national competencies to innovate and lead in the technical sectors. Furthermore, Al Suwaidi explained that these initiatives pave the way for a new generation of entrepreneurs to benefit from modern technologies in the development of their projects, and confirm Sharjah's position as an incubator environment for future ideas.
By the end of the Forum, participants were in appreciation of their role in the success of the event and supporting its goals in empowering youth, developing the smart economy system, and benefiting from artificial intelligence in the development of professional and technical activities.
