(Awn 60+) ... SEDD New Service for Senior Citizens SEDD launches (Awn 60+) Service
Sharjah Economic Development Department announced the launch of a new service called (Awn 60+), dedicated to senior citizens aged 60 and above. This service aims at facilitating the access of senior citizens to the Department’s services without the need to visit its headquarters, and through simple steps via WhatsApp on the number: 0547091212 or through the landline 065122660.
In details, (Awn 60+) service allows the completion of a wide range of services including issuing, renewing and amending licenses, commercial permit transactions, technical evaluation, in addition to legal services and so many other SEDD services.
Also, this service can be provided outside the Department's headquarters, exclusively for elderly citizens aged 60 and above, whereas the employee will visit the elders at their homes to provide the service to them in cases they face difficulty in using modern technologies or visiting the Department's headquarters. Through such service, SEDD ensures that elders will complete their transactions with ease and comfort. Additionally, SEDD will conduct periodic surveys to measure elders’ satisfaction towards the services to improve them and meet the needs of this category according to the highest quality standards.
In addition, HE said that (Awn 60+) service is a unique and qualitative initiative that reflects Sharjah’s vision in enhancing the quality of life and providing accessible government services to all members of society, especially elderly citizens. Also, HE added that SEDD pays great attention to old people to ensure that such initiatives are a direct reflection of the wise leadership’s directives to appreciate elderly citizens and provide services that befit their status. Moreover, HE carried on that (Awn 60+) service is considered an important step towards providing a flexible and fast service system that reaches the beneficiary wherever they are to offer an easier government transaction experience.
