SEDD passes Periodic Audit of ISO 9001:2015

In continuation of its extensive record of international standards certification for quality systems, Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” succeeded in renewing the certificate of the international standard for quality management system “ISO 2015: 9001”. This comes after it passed the annual audit, which was carried out to verify the commitment of the various Departments and Sections to apply and follow the approved procedures and processes, and to study the documents and their compliance with the conditions of the quality management system, according to international standards, and according to the report issued by the concerned company. The results of the audit showed that the Department fully met the requirements of the administrative system compatible with the aforementioned specification, which reflects its commitment to international quality standards and its keenness to continuously improve the levels and mechanisms of providing its services to all customers in accordance with the best international standards.

Commenting on that, HE Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman, the Department works to develop the emirate's economy through planning and providing distinguished services using qualified human cadres and advanced technical systems in accordance with the highest quality standards. Also, HE pointed out that the Department’s continued success in obtaining this important international certificate is the result of fulfilling its commitments within its policies to enhance work procedures and consolidate its position as an entity that keeps pace with modern business requirements. Additionally, HE emphasized that SEDD has a strong organizational structure for procedures, that enhances its concerns to implement performance indicators and integrated administrative systems, and seeks to attain its strategic objectives in a way that adopts the best practices in procedures and quality systems to develop performance and achieve a diversified and well-being economy.

On the other hand, Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Ali, Acting Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Department, said that the Department works according to the highest standards to achieve its vision which are to develop the services provided to customers and strategic partners and adopt best practices in procedures, quality systems and institutional excellence. This is done in order to implement SEDD’s directions in providing an effective and exceptional environment that keeps pace with international procedures and standards.

Likely, Dr. Al Ali affirmed that SEDD follows a comprehensive quality policy by setting goals for the systems, reviewing them continuously, ensuring the dissemination of its concepts, disseminating the best administrative and professional practices, and developing and improving the services it provides in a way that supports its strategic directions. He added that SEDD is committed to fulfilling all relevant requirements, legislation, laws, regulations and instructions, provides continuous training, spreads awareness and commitment among employees to the quality management system, and provides high-quality services that achieve customer happiness and exceed their expectations. All of this is done to ensure the continuity of the quality system and provide the latest training and qualification techniques for employees, in order to provide distinguished services to customers.
