“SEDD” receives “SHUROOQ”

HE Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” received a delegation from Sharjah Investment and Development Authority “SHUROOQ” headed by HE Ahmed Obaid Yousef Al Qaseer, CEO of SHUROOQ, Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, CEO of Invest in Sharjah, and Saif Al Suwaidi, the Acting Manager of Sharjah Investor Services Center “SAEED”. This meeting aimed at discussing ways of cooperation and enhancing work between all parties, as SEDD is keen to enhance work with all government and private agencies, in a way that serves the public interest of the emirate.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed many common issues that are in the public interest. Also, SEDD services provided by “SAEED” were highlighted, and mechanisms as well as ways to enhance cooperation. This was done to provide all capabilities to the business sector, investors and dealers, and to contribute to achieving sustainable economic development in a way that serves all sectors to improve the emirate’s economy.

For his part, HE SEDD Chairman pointed out that such meetings help to improve communication and cooperation to achieve the economic sustainability and welfare of the emirate. He added that SEDD pays great attention to enhance its constructive cooperation with government and private agencies, noting the level of cooperation existing between “SEDD” and “Shurooq” in several fields in a way that keeps pace with the economic development witnessed by the emirate and serves the comprehensive and sustainable development agenda. Likely, HE Al Mahmoud stressed that this cooperation resulted in remarkable outcomes that reflected the integration of their efforts.

On the other hand, HE HE Ahmed Obaid Yousef Al Qaseer, CEO of “SHUROOQ”, emphasized on the importance of this cooperation, saying: “strengthening strategic partnerships with SEDD reflects our firm commitment to achieving the vision of Sharjah towards a prosperous and sustainable future, and achieving sustainable economic development. Also, this will help to provide an optimal investment environment that contributes to attracting investments and enhancing Sharjah’s position as a leading economic center in the region.”

In addition, HE Al Qaseer pointed out that this fruitful cooperation between “SHUROOQ” and “SEDD” comes within the ongoing efforts to support the business sector and investors, with the aim of enhancing and accelerating investment and development processes.

From his side, Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, CEO of Invest in Sharjah, commended SEDD for its commitment to fostering partnerships and strengthening cooperation with all stakeholders. He emphasized that SEDD’s dedication to institutional integration is crucial for driving economic development.

Al Musharrkh highlighted that Invest in Sharjah shares this vision, noting that the incentives, facilities, and services offered by both entities enhance investment opportunities and stimulate economic activity in Sharjah.

By the end of the meeting, SEDD appreciated the delegation’s visit, praising the entities’ keenness on cooperation in various fields in line with local government service standards, stressing the importance of holding such meetings and encounters because of their role in accelerating development processes and enhancing the investment movement in Sharjah.
