SEDD discusses Cooperation with House of Wisdom and SRTI Park

A delegation from Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” visited House of Wisdom and Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) to discuss services provided by the two parties and discuss ways of cooperation to strengthen relations and exchange experiences.

Such visits come within SEDD plan for major new projects in order to attain a comprehensive development leadership and to achieve a diversified competitive and innovative knowledge-based economy through its strategy to contribute to planning and leading the comprehensive economic development in Sharjah.

The Delegation was headed by HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, and included Abdelaziz Omar Al Midfa, Deputy Director of Government Communication Department, Ali Al Naqbi, Deputy Director of IT Department, Salem Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department, Mariam Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Industrial Affairs Department, and number of employees.

Commenting on the visit, Abdulaziz Omar Al Midfa, Deputy Director of Government Communication Department at SEDD, said that enhancing cooperation between the Department and the two entities is one of SEDD’s strategic objectives to improve coordination and cooperation between them as well as to attain sustainable economic development is Sharjah. Such thing would help to make the emirate occupy a distinguished position at the regional and international levels. Also, it comes in response to the economic changes taking place in the local arena, which require the need to raise the rates of cooperation between the various government agencies to keep pace with developments, thus contributing to providing more services and facilities necessary for the business environment in the emirate. It should be noted that such entities are considered part of the most vital projects in Sharjah, which confirms the emirate's position as an attractive destination for investors, and a place to support companies and institutions that operate according to its scope as well as to provide facilities and capabilities that would strengthen the infrastructure in Sharjah. Al Midfa also emphasized that such visits fall within SEDD plan to improve work with various governmental and private agencies in the emirate in particular and in the country in general. He also pointed out that SEDD is looking forward to working with such entities as two pillars of the developmental and societal process in which the emirate pays great attention to.
