SEDD Renews ISO 9001:2015
Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” succeeded in renewing ISO 9001: 2015 of Quality Management System after passing the audit phase of all its work procedures, and ensuring that all the conditions and requirements of the comprehensive quality system are met in its various departments. This was accomplished according to the report issued by the resident company, and the audit results that showed commitment of SEDD to the requirements, which reflects its commitment to international quality standards and its keenness to continuously improve the levels and mechanisms of providing its services to all dealers in accordance with the best international standards.
Commenting on that, HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, said that continuous development and provision of qualitative services falls within SEDD strategy to improve Sharjah’s economy through planning and providing distinguished services using qualified human cadres and advanced technical systems in accordance with the highest quality standards.
HE added that this achievement is another accomplishment to SEDD, which reflects its constant commitment to excellence in serving all customers in accordance with international best practices. Also, HE added that it falls within the vision of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, whom calls for focusing on innovation and continuous development of services and providing them to customers through multiple smart channels. In general, SEDD is keen on regularly spreading the culture of quality among employees and informing them of all modern trends in the field of quality and institutional excellence, believing in the vital role of the teamwork in serving customers in the best possible way and the correlation of service quality with institutional performance and achieving strategic goals.
From her side, Hanadi Al Muhairi, Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Department at SEDD, explained that the Department works according to the highest standards of the basic tools to achieve the Department's vision, which main objectives are to develop services provided to customers and strategic partners and to adopt best practices in procedures, quality systems and organizational excellence.
Furthermore, Al Muhairi praised the efforts of all the Department's employees and their keenness to provide the features and conditions for achieving quality practices in the various sections and their commitment to accomplish the tasks required in this regard, which enabled SEDD to achieve its desired goals. Likely, she pointed out that the directives of HE SEDD Chairman to ensure the continuity of the quality system and to provide the latest training and qualification techniques for employees helped to contribute to achieving the Department's objectives and to provide the best possible service to customers.
